Registration

Shooters can register for SGWC USPSA matches at practiscore.com. Registration will open eight days before each match date. Space permitting, walk-ins may register with the Match Director at sign-in.

Entry Fee

$15.00 for SWGC Members. $20.00 for Non-Members. Prices are subject to change without notice. Fees will be paid with cash or check at sign-in. Make checks payable to: Sir Walter Gun Club, Inc. (SWGC)

Time

Competitors will sign-in and pay fees between 9:00am and 9:45am. A safety briefing and announcements will be presented at 10:00am. Shooting will commence following the safety briefing. No one may register after shooting has begun without permission from the Match Director.

Pistol Match

Held the first Saturday of each month. Open, Limited, Limited 10, Production, Single Stack, Carry Optics, Revolver, and PCC divisions are recognized. Each division will be scored as a separate match; each with its own match winner.

Rifle Match

Held the fifth Saturday of each month. Match will be scored using the traditional USPSA hit factor scoring method. PCC, Rim-fire Limited, Rim-fire Tactical, Center-fire Limited, and Center-fire Tactical divisions are recognized. Limited divisions allow only iron sights on the firearm. Tactical divisions allow optics of any kind. Each division will be scored as s separate match; each with its own match winner.

Rules

Current USPSA rules will govern. Visit uspsa.org for additional information about the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA). Eye and ear protection are required to be worn by all competitors and spectators during the match. All shooters are expected to help score, paste targets, reset stages, tear down stages and clean up at the end of the match.

Equipment

For pistol matches, only USPSA legal pistols and PCCs are permitted. Except when within the boundaries of a safety area, or when under the supervision and direct command of a Range Officer, competitors must carry their handguns unloaded in a gun case, gun bag, or in a holster securely attached to a belt on their person. PCCs must be unloaded and have a chamber flag inserted when not actively shooting a stage. The chamber flag shall only be removed within the boundaries of a safety area or under supervision and direct command of a Range Officer. Competitors should bring a minimum of 250 rounds of ammunition.

For rifle matches, PCCs must meet all current USPSA rule requirements. All firearms must be unloaded and have a chamber flag inserted when not actively shooting a stage. The chamber flag shall only be removed within the boundaries of a safe area or under supervision and direct command of a Range Officer. Competitors should bring a minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition.

Course of Fire

Pistol matches will consist of eight separate stages of fire. An explanation of each stage will be provided at the beginning of the match. One stage will be a USPSA classifier. Classifier scores will be submitted to the USPSA classification system.

Rifle matches will consist of six separate stages of fire. An explanation of each stage will be provided at the beginning of the match. One stage will be a USPSA classifier. All competitors will shoot the classifier stage for match points. PCC shooters will have their scores submitted to the USPSA classification system.

Awards

SWGC awards match bucks to the winners in each class, based on participation levels. Match bucks can be used for entry fees at future SWGC matches. Match results will be posted to practiscore.com as soon as possible after the completion of the match.
